Dr. Heindel is a licensed and PA Certified School Psychologist who earned her Masters and Doctorate degrees in Clinical Developmental Psychology from Bryn Mawr College (MA, 1998; PhD, 2003).  Dr. Heindel received pre-doctoral clinical training in psychoeducational and psychological assessment, as well as individual, family, and group therapies in inpatient, partial hospital, and outpatient treatment settings through work at Bryn Mawr College Child Study Institute, Reading Hospital and Medical Center, Elwyn Nonpublic School Program, St. Gabriel’s System, and Villanova University Counseling Center.

At the Center for Child Assessment and Therapy, Dr. Heindel’s primary professional practice includes assessment and consultation. Through comprehensive psychoeducational evaluation and consultation, Dr. Heindel works with children, adolescents, and young adults and their families to address a variety of referral questions and concerns including learning differences and disabilities, school-related difficulties, social/emotional/behavioral challenges, attention deficit disorders (ADHD), eligibility for school-based and standardized testing accommodations, and identification of giftedness.  Dr. Heindel also works in the area of school admissions through assessment of applicants, consultation with caregivers about school choice, and work with schools regarding admissions requirements and procedures.  At present, Dr. Heindel serves on the Board of the PA Branch of the International Dyslexia Association and on the Specialist of Schools Planning Committee.  Dr. Heindel works in both the Chestnut Hill and Media, PA office locations.
